Following the successful first edition of the EUMETSAT Foresight Workshop in October 2025, we are pleased to invite you to attend and participate to the Second EUMETSAT Foresight Workshop, which will take place on 19–20 October 2026 at EUMETSAT Headquarters in Darmstadt.
The Second Workshop will focus on the analysis of a Meteosat Fourth Generation (M4G) case study, aimed at exploring future geostationary capabilities to respond to fast-evolving user needs. This will be achieved through the discussion of observational scenarios, exploring key measurement capabilities and benchmarking them against several applications.
The aim of the Second Foresight Workshop is to review and assess these observational scenarios in order to identify areas for preparatory studies.
